Stonehenge 2500 BC

Explore Stonehenge when its stones were new, with narrated stations, in-game books and hands-on activities about the sun, the stones and the people who built it.

Top-down map of Stonehenge's circular earthwork and stone rings, surrounded by green grassland

Step back about 4,500 years and walk around Stonehenge when its great stones were brand new. You start as a time traveler with a guide, then explore the monument and the wide chalk grassland around it at your own pace.

This world is built to play with, not just look at. Buttons throughout the map play narration, labels explain what you’re seeing, and activities show ideas in action, such as how the rising sun moves along the horizon through the year and how the length of a day changes between June and December. Eight books cover the stones, moving them into place, the sun and seasons, circle math, animals and plants, and Durrington Walls.

The world starts in Creative mode on Peaceful difficulty, with time and weather paused so that nothing disturbs your visit.

It needs Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, and it doesn’t work on Bedrock Edition or on older Java versions. The voices and character skins come from a resource pack included in the world, so choose to use it if the game asks when you open the world, and turn on Voice/Speech in your sound settings.
